Az alsó és a felső körirat között, bal oldalon a „2012” verési évszám, jobb oldalon a „Bp.” verdejel olvasható. A középmezőben I. Károly aranyforintjának előlapja alapján készült érmeábrázolás látható: KAROLV•REX (Károly király) köriratban a firenzei liliom. Az emlékérme hátlapjának szélén, felső köriratban az „I. KÁROLY” felirat, alsó köriratban uralkodásának ideje „1301-1342” olvasható. Az alsó és a felső körirat között, bal és jobb oldalon az Anjou-ház jelképét, az Anjou–liliomot ábrázoló díszítő motívum, a jobb oldali díszítő motívum alatt Soltra E. Tamás tervezőművész mesterjegye látható. A középmezőben I. Károly aranyforintjának hátlapja alapján készült érmeábrázolás látható Firenze védőszentjének képével, körülötte S IOHANNES B (Keresztelő Szent János) felirattal. A hátlapi körirat végén kis korona található, amely egyes feltételezések szerint a budai verdét jelöli.
