Az első magyar műhold sikeres pályára állításának emlékére a MNB 1000 forintos címletű négyzet alakú kupronikkel érmét adott ki a Magyar mérnökök, feltalálók sorozat 8. tagjaként.

Masat-1 név a MAgyar és a SATellite szavakból képzett mozaikszó. Az első magyar műhold startjára 2012. február 13-án került sor Franciaországban, mely azóta is megbízhatóan működik. Magyar vonatkozást erősíti, hogy a Budapesti Műszaki és Gazdaságtudományi Egyetem Villamosmérnöki és Informatikai Karának hallgatói fejlesztették ki a Magyar Űrkutatási Iroda bevonásával és támogatásával, valamint alkatrészeinek egy részét magyar vállalatok gyártották.

Zum Gedenken an den erfolgreichen Start des ersten ungarischen Satelliten gab die MNB als 8. Mitglied der Reihe der ungarischen Ingenieure und Erfinder eine Kupfernickelmünze im Wert von 1.000 HUF heraus.

Der Name Masat-1 ist ein Akronym aus den Wörtern Ungarisch und SATellite. Der erste ungarische Satellit wurde am 13. Februar 2012 in Frankreich gestartet und arbeitet seitdem zuverlässig. Der ungarische Aspekt wird durch die Tatsache verstärkt, dass es von Studenten der Fakultät für Elektrotechnik und Informatik der Technischen und Wirtschaftsuniversität Budapest unter Beteiligung und Unterstützung der Ungarischen Weltraumforschungsagentur entwickelt und einige seiner Komponenten hergestellt wurden von ungarischen Unternehmen.

To commemorate the successful launch of the first Hungarian satellite, the MNB issued a HUF 1,000 square cupronickel coin as the 8th member of the Hungarian engineers and inventors series.

The name Masat-1 is an acronym formed from the words Hungarian and SATellite. The first Hungarian satellite was launched in France on February 13, 2012, and has been operating reliably ever since. The Hungarian aspect is strengthened by the fact that it was developed by students of the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Informatics of the Budapest University of Technology and Economics with the involvement and support of the Hungarian Space Research Agency, and that some of its components were manufactured by Hungarian companies.

Para conmemorar el lanzamiento exitoso del primer satélite húngaro, el MNB emitió una moneda de cuproníquel cuadrado de 1000 HUF como el octavo miembro de la serie de ingenieros e inventores húngaros.

El nombre Masat-1 es un acrónimo formado por las palabras húngaro y SAtellite. El primer satélite húngaro se lanzó en Francia el 13 de febrero de 2012 y ha estado funcionando de forma fiable desde entonces. El aspecto húngaro se ve reforzado por el hecho de que fue desarrollado por estudiantes de la Facultad de Ingeniería Eléctrica e Informática de la Universidad de Tecnología y Economía de Budapest con la participación y el apoyo de la Agencia Húngara de Investigación Espacial, y que algunos de sus componentes fueron fabricados por empresas húngaras.
