XXIII Pope John, also known as John XXIII, full name Angelo Giuseppe Roncalli, was the Pope of the Vatican from 1958 to 1963. Pope John introduced many reforms and modernizations in the church. His best-known initiative is Vatican II, which began in 1962. synod, which was one of the biggest events in the modernization of the church. The purpose of the synod was to renew the relationship between the church and the world, as well as to modernize church ceremonies and traditions. The person of Pope John was also significant, as he was famous for his friendliness and human approach. He was the first pope to support the use of radio and television to spread the Church's messages. Despite his short pontificate, he left a deep mark on the history of the Church and became known throughout the world as the "good pope". He died in 1963, and since then he has been commemorated by church members and people around the world. In 2000 II. Pope John Paul II canonized him as blessed and in 2014 as a saint.

XXIII Several types of coins were produced under Pope János, which bear the pope's coat of arms, portrait, name, the year of his inauguration or the II. they depicted the Vatican Council.
