ARC. Sabah al-Ahmad al-Jaber al-Sabah, Emir of Kuwait, ruled Kuwait from January 29, 2006 to September 29, 2020. IV. Szabáh was born on June 16, 1929 in Kuwait City. He completed his primary education at the Mubarakya School in the 1930s and was assisted by private tutors. His half-brother, Jaber Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, who also appointed him Prime Minister in June 2003, was his predecessor. He was the fourth son of Emir Sabah. Before becoming the Emir of Kuwait, he was the Foreign Minister of Kuwait between 1963 and 1991, and then between 1992 and 2003. As Minister of Foreign Affairs, he re-strengthened the diplomatic relations that had deteriorated during the Iraqi occupation and the Gulf War. He was also the country's first deputy prime minister. Between 1965 and 1967, he was the country's finance minister. Between 2003 and 2006, he was the country's prime minister and de facto leader, since III. Dzaber's health deteriorated. IV. After Sabah came to power, he managed Kuwait successfully. In 2016, Emir Jaber, the former ruler, died and Crown Prince Saad took control of the country. With Sád's ascension to the throne, it could be guessed that Abdallah would become the crown prince of the country, and at the same time he would also retain the office of prime minister. However, the Constitution stipulated that he had to be installed and take the oath of office in front of the Parliament. ARC.
