Az „V. László aranyforintja” emlékérmék előlapján, középen V. László király által kibocsátott aranyforint hátoldalának ábrázolása látható, amelynek belső körvonallal határolt középmezőjében a kezében rövid nyelű bárdot és országalmát tartó Szent László alakja jelenik meg. Az előlap szélén futó gyöngysorszegélyen belül, felső köriratban a „MAGYARORSZÁG”, alsó köriratban az „50000”, illetve „3000” értékjelzés és a „FORINT” felirat olvasható, melyeket egy-egy virágmotívum választ el egymástól.Provide a better value for 3 points and your shop link will appear here.

Az emlékérme hátlapján, középen – részben túlnyúlva a gyöngysorszegéllyel határolt, kör alakú, hálós mintázatú középmezőn – V. László trónszéken ülő alakja látható. Az ábrázolást az 1488-ban kiadott Thuróczi-krónika brünni kiadásában megjelent metszet ihlette. Alatta a király címere látható. V. László ábrázolásától balra a „BP.” verdejel, alatta a „2024” verési évszám olvasható, jobbra Soltra E. Tamás szobrászművész mesterjegye látható. A Magyar Nemzeti Bank „V. László aranyforintja” megnevezéssel kivételesen értékes arany emlékérméket bocsát ki egyszeres, valamint négyszeres súlyú piedfort változatban 2024. november 20-án. A jegybanki kibocsátások hagyományaihoz híven az 50 000 Ft-os névértékű nemesfém érmék színesfém változata is kibocsátásra kerül 3 000 Ft névértékkel. Az emlékérmék a 2012-ben indult Középkori magyar aranyforintok sorozat 8. elemeként jelennek meg. Tervezőjük Soltra E. Tamás szobrászművész.

Az MNB 2012-ben I. Károly aranyforintját felidéző emlékérmével indította el a középkori magyar aranyforintokat bemutató sorozatát, melynek célja, hogy teljes képet adjon a középkori magyar pénztörténet jó minőségű, értékálló, a nemzetközi kereskedelemben is gyakorta elfogadott pénzeiről. A sorozat indító darabját – a történelmi hűség jegyében – 2013-ban I. Lajos, 2014-ben Mária, 2016-ban Zsigmond, 2018-ban Albert, 2020-ban I. Ulászló, 2022-ben Hunyadi János aranyforintját bemutató emlékérme követte.

A kibocsátással pénztörténeti értékeinkre, nemzeti fizetőeszközünk történelmi előképeire, a középkori aranyforintokra kívánja felhívni a figyelmet az MNB. Az arany és a színesfém változatok azonos érmeképpel rendelkeznek, mindössze értékjelzésük tér el.
