Az emlékérmék előoldalán ábrázolt csatajelenetben az 1848-49-es forradalom és szabadságharc egyik győztes csatája elevenedik meg, amit Than Mór: Görgey lovasrohamot vezényel a második komáromi csatában Herkálypusztánál című festménye ihletett. Fölötte félköriratban az 1848-49-es forradalom és szabadságharc legjelentősebb, győztes ütközeteinek felsorolása (ISASZEG, BUDA, KOMÁROM, VÁC) jelenik meg, a csaták időrendi sorrendjében. Az emlékérmék előlapján külső körgyűrűben helyezkednek el az emlékérme kötelező alaki kellékei: a MAGYARORSZÁG felirat, a 10 000 illetve a 2000 FORINT értékjelzés, a különleges mikroírással készült biztonsági elemet tartalmazó „BP.” verdejel, mely az emlékérmék hamisítás elleni védelmét szolgálja, valamint a 2018 verési évszám.Provide a better value for 3 points and your shop link will appear here.

Az emlékérmék hátlapján is visszaköszön a külső körgyűrűs szerkezet, amelyet kissé megtör Görgei Artúr dagerrotípia alapján készült, félalakos ábrázolása. A portré hátterében – emelt síkú középmezőben – az 1884. november 23-án a Nemzet című napilapban megjelent, 207 honvéd által aláírt „Nyilatkozvány”-ban Görgei Artúr mellett kiállók neve olvasható mikroírással (nem teljes számban, három különböző betűméretben), amelyben katonatársai így foglaltak állást a hadvezér mellett: „…nyílt egyenességgel bátran kimondhatjuk: hogy a világosi fegyverletétel oly nagy túlerőkkel szemben nem volt árulás, nem volt fegyvereinket meggyalázó tény, nem volt a haza elleni bűn, — hanem volt a honfivér további hasztalan ontását megszüntető emberséges és tisztességes befejezése egy azontúl reménytelen, céltalan, s azért tovább nem is indokolható háborúnak.” A külső körgyűrűben bal oldalon olvasható a GÖRGEI ARTÚR negyedkörirat, valamint Görgei Artúr születési és halálozási évszáma, a jobb oldalon pedig az emlékérmét tervező Szilos András fémműves formatervező mesterjegye.Provide a better value for 3 points and your shop link will appear here.

A Magyar Nemzeti Bank Görgei Artúr megnevezéssel 10 000 forintos címletű ezüst és 2000 forint névértékű színesfém emlékérmét bocsát ki 2018. január 30-án a Hadtörténeti Intézet és Múzeum által rendezett Görgei Artúr Tudományos Emlékkonferencia keretében. Az emlékérme-kibocsátás kettős apropóját az 1848-49-es forradalom és szabadságharc kitörésének 170. évfordulója és a szabadságharc egyik legkiemelkedőbb hadvezérének 200. születési évfordulója adja. A Görgei Artúr érmékkel indul a jegybank 2018. évi emlékérme-kibocsátási programja. 200 éve született Görgei Artúr (1818. január 30. – 1916. május 21.) honvédtábornok, hadügyminiszter, az 1848–49-es forradalom és szabadságharc egyik legtehetségesebb hadvezére, aki több alkalommal a honvédsereg fővezéreként irányította a szabadságharcot. Polgári végzettségét tekintve vegyész, 1848 előtt e területen is kiemelkedő eredményeket ért el. A világosi fegyverletétel után megítélése ellentmondásos, sokszor elmarasztaló volt, de a történelemtudományi kutatások megcáfolták a hazaárulás vádját. A Görgei emlékérmék hazánk törvényes fizetőeszközei, de nem forgalmi célokat szolgálnak, elsődleges szerepük a megemlékezés, a figyelemfelkeltés nemzeti értékeinkre, történelmünk kiemelkedő alakjaira, eseményeire. Januar 2018 im Rahmen der vom Militärhistorischen Institut und Museum organisierten wissenschaftlichen Görgei Artúr-Gedenkkonferenz eine Silber- und eine Nichteisen-Gedenkmünze im Wert von 2.000 HUF im Wert von 10.000 HUF mit dem Namen „Görgei Artúr“ ausgeben. Die Ausgabe der Gedenkmünze ist in doppelter Hinsicht passend zum 170. Jahrestag des Ausbruchs der Revolution und des Unabhängigkeitskrieges von 1848–49 und zum 200. Jahrestag der Geburt eines der herausragendsten Generäle des Unabhängigkeitskrieges. Das Gedenkmünzenausgabeprogramm 2018 der Zentralbank beginnt mit Görgei Artúr-Münzen. Artúr Görgei (30. Januar 1818 – 21. Mai 1916) wurde vor 200 Jahren geboren, General der Armee, Kriegsminister, einer der talentiertesten Generäle der Revolution und des Unabhängigkeitskrieges von 1848–49, der den Krieg von führte Unabhängigkeit als Oberbefehlshaber der Armee mehrfach. The issue of the commemorative coin is doubly appropriate for the 170th anniversary of the outbreak of the 1848-49 revolution and war of independence and the 200th anniversary of the birth of one of the most outstanding generals of the war of independence.
