Haynau táborszernagy az alábbi Hirdetményt adta ki a Kossuth-bankók hamisítása ellen: Hirdetmény. Ezennel mindennek tudtára adatik, hogy bár miféle ugy nevezett "magyar Kossuth bankjegyek" forgása, mint törvényelleni pénz megtiltatik. Bár ki is olly törvényelleni pénzzel bírna, legyen az akár magányos, vagy köztárok tulajdona, azt a legközelebbi cs. k. városi parancsnoksághoz, melly ezen semmített bankjegyeket az elöljáró katona vidéki parancsnoksághoz beküldeni, haladék nélkül általadni kötelessége lészen. Azon bankjegyek, mellyek ezen hirdetés után 48 órának lefolytával át nem adattak, a hol találtatnak, nem csak elfoglaltatnak, hanem azoknak tulajdonossa azonkivül még hadszéki büntetés alá is vetetni fog. Gegen die Fälschung von Kossuth-Banknoten erließ Feldmarschall Haynau folgende Bekanntmachung: Bekanntmachung. Damit soll jeder darüber informiert werden, dass der Umlauf sogenannter „ungarischer Kossuth-Banknoten“ als illegales Geld verboten ist. Wer über solches illegales Geld verfügt, sei es im Besitz einer Privatperson oder eines öffentlichen Fonds, wird von der nächstgelegenen Strafverfolgungsbehörde mitgenommen. k. an das Stadtkommando, das verpflichtet ist, die vernichteten Banknoten unverzüglich an das Landkommando zu senden. Banknoten, die nicht innerhalb von 48 Stunden nach dieser Bekanntgabe ausgehändigt werden, werden nicht nur beschlagnahmt, sondern ihr Besitzer wird auch gerichtlich bestraft. Field Marshal Haynau issued the following Announcement against the counterfeiting of Kossuth banknotes: Announcement. This is to let everyone know that the circulation of so-called "Hungarian Kossuth banknotes" as illegal money is prohibited. Whoever has such illegal money, whether it is owned by a private person or a public fund, will be taken by the nearest cs. k. to the city command, which will be obliged to send the destroyed banknotes to the rural command without delay.
