Lechner Ödön (Pest, 1845.aug.27.-Budapest,1914.jún.10.) a magyar szecessziós építészet megteremtője, külföldön a „magyar Gaudí”-ként ismerik. Halálának 100. évfordulója alkalmából az MNB emlékérmét bocsátott ki, amelynek tervezője Fritz Mihály szobrászművész. Az különleges, álló téglalap formátumú emlékérméből 10000 forintos ezüst és 2000 forintos rézötvözetű változat készült. Az érme eredetileg kerek műanyag kapszulába van csomagolva. Az álló téglalap alakú emlékérme 925 ezrelék finomságú ezüstből készült, súlya 31,46 gramm, mérete 39,6 mm×26,4 mm, széle sima. Ödön Lechner (Pest, 27. August 1845 – Budapest, 10. Juni 1914) ist der Schöpfer der ungarischen Jugendstilarchitektur, im Ausland als „ungarischer Gaudí“ bekannt. Anlässlich seines 100. Todestages gab die MNB eine vom Bildhauer Fritz Mihály gestaltete Gedenkmünze heraus. Von der besonderen Gedenkmünze im hochrechteckigen Format wurden eine 10.000-Forint-Silberlegierung und eine 2.000-Forint-Kupferlegierungsversion hergestellt. Die Münze ist originalverpackt in einer runden Plastikkapsel. Die hochrechteckige Gedenkmünze besteht aus 925er Feinsilber, wiegt 31,46 Gramm, misst 39,6 mm x 26,4 mm und hat eine glatte Kante.
