Középkori templom bejárati homlokzatának ábrázolása látható, fókuszában nyitott templomkapuval, utalva arra, hogy a reformáció a vallásgyakorlást megkönnyítette, hiszen a korábbi latin nyelvű misék helyett nemzeti nyelven kezdték el hirdetni Isten igéjét. Az ablakban megjelenő galambábrázolás és a templomkapuban egy pontból kiinduló 5 sugárvonal a Szentlélek szétáradását hivatott megjeleníteni. A reformáció előtérbe helyezte a Szentírást, mint egyedüli tiszta forrást, ezért az emlékérme hátlapján a központban a Biblia ábrázolása található. A párkányra helyezett nyitott könyv fölött a Szentlélek galambja jelenik meg kitárt szárnyakkal, hiszen a Biblia a Szentlélek segítségével értelmezhető. A két motívum tematikus egységét különleges, közös felfényezésük is érzékelteti. A könyvjelzőként kinyúló szalag alsó részén olvasható a „REFORMÁCIÓ 500 ÉVE” felirat, mely megvilágítja az érme kibocsátásának apropóját, ugyanakkor érzékelteti, hogy a folyamat még nem zárult le, folyamatosan szükség van a reformációra, a megújulásra. Luther Márton Ágoston-rendi szerzetes 1517. október 31-én Wittenbergben kiszögezte a vártemplom kapujára 95 pontból álló vitairatát, célul kitűzve a katolikus egyház megújítását. A vitairatban az egyedül hit általi üdvözülés tana mellett állt ki, és elítélte a búcsúcédulák (feloldozó levelek) árusítását. Ezzel kezdetét vette a reformáció, amely rendkívül gyorsan, széles társadalmi támogatottsággal terjedt tovább. A 16. század közepére a reformáció térnyerése hazánkban is megkezdődött. A reformáció eredményeképp új kulturális központok alakultak. Am 31. Oktober 1517 schlug der Augustinermönch Márton Luther in Wittenberg seine 95 Punkte umfassende Diskussionsurkunde mit dem Ziel der Erneuerung der katholischen Kirche an das Tor der Schlosskirche. In der Abhandlung vertrat er die Lehre von der Erlösung allein durch den Glauben und verurteilte den Verkauf von Absolutionsbriefen. Dies markierte den Beginn der Reformation, die sich äußerst schnell verbreitete und eine breite gesellschaftliche Unterstützung fand. Mitte des 16. Jahrhunderts begann die Reformation auch in unserem Land Fuß zu fassen. Als Folge der Reformation entstanden neue Kulturzentren. Esto marcó el comienzo de la reforma, que se extendió extremadamente rápido con un amplio apoyo social. A mediados del siglo XVI, la Reforma también comenzó a ganar terreno en nuestro país. Como resultado de la reforma, se establecieron nuevos centros culturales. Nel trattato difendeva la dottrina della salvezza per sola fede e condannava la vendita di biglietti d'addio (lettere di assoluzione). Questo segnò l'inizio della riforma, che si diffuse molto rapidamente con un ampio sostegno sociale. Verso la metà del XVI secolo, la Riforma iniziò a prendere piede anche nel nostro paese. Come risultato della riforma, furono istituiti nuovi centri culturali.
