A húszforintos bankjegy férfialakjának modellje Hegedűs István öttusázó, kétszeres magyar bajnok. 1948-ban állt modellt a bankjegy tervezőjének. Hegedűs 1956 október 24-én reggel a Sportuszodába indult edzést tartani és a Szófia utcánál találkozott egy kommunista csoporttal, akik könyveket égettek. Ekkor egy teherautóból ávósok tüzet nyitottak a fegyvertelen emberekre és Hegedűst halálos lövés érte. A húszforintos bankjegy a kommunista hatalom bukása után, 1992-ben került csak bevonásra.

Vorbild für die männliche Figur der Zwanzig-Forint-Banknote ist István Hegedűs, fünfmaliger Meister und zweimaliger ungarischer Meister. 1948 war er Modell für den Banknotendesigner. Am Morgen des 24. Oktober 1956 ging Hegedűs zum Sportusozoda, um zu trainieren, und traf in der Szófia-Straße auf eine kommunistische Gruppe, die Bücher verbrannte. Damals eröffneten Ávós-Soldaten von einem Lastwagen aus das Feuer auf die unbewaffneten Menschen und Hegedűs wurde tödlich erschossen. Die 20-Forint-Banknote wurde erst 1992, nach dem Sturz des kommunistischen Regimes, eingeführt.

The model for the male figure of the twenty-forint banknote is István Hegedűs, a five-time champion and two-time Hungarian champion. In 1948, he was the model for the banknote designer. On the morning of October 24, 1956, Hegedűs went to the Sportusozoda to train and met a communist group burning books at Szófia Street. At that time, Ávós soldiers opened fire on the unarmed people from a truck and Hegedűs was fatally shot. The twenty-forint banknote was introduced only in 1992, after the fall of the communist regime.

El modelo de la figura masculina del billete de veinte florines es István Hegedűs, cinco veces campeón y dos veces campeón húngaro. En 1948, fue modelo para el diseñador de billetes. En la mañana del 24 de octubre de 1956, Hegedűs fue al Sportusozoda a entrenar y se encontró con un grupo comunista que quemaba libros en la calle Szófia. En ese momento, los soldados de Ávós abrieron fuego contra las personas desarmadas desde un camión y Hegedűs recibió un disparo mortal. El billete de veinte florines se introdujo solo en 1992, después de la caída del régimen comunista.

Le matin du 24 octobre 1956, Hegedűs se rendit au Sportusozoda pour s'entraîner et rencontra un groupe communiste brûlant des livres dans la rue Szófia. À ce moment-là, les soldats d'Ávós ont ouvert le feu sur les personnes non armées à partir d'un camion et Hegedűs a été mortellement abattu. Le billet de vingt forints n'a été introduit qu'en 1992, après la chute du régime communiste.

La mattina del 24 ottobre 1956, Hegedűs andò allo Sportusozoda per allenarsi e incontrò un gruppo comunista che bruciava libri in via Szófia. In quel momento, i soldati di Ávós hanno aperto il fuoco su persone disarmate da un camion e Hegedűs è stato colpito a morte. La banconota da venti fiorini è stata introdotta solo nel 1992, dopo la caduta del regime comunista.
