On the occasion of the 200th anniversary of Ferenc Deák's birth, the Magyar Nemzeti Bank issued a 20 HUF jubilee circulation coin on April 8, 2003, also known as the "Deák 20 HUF". The special feature of the coin is that it is decorated with a portrait of Ferenc Deák, instead of the usual Hungarian woman's petal. The material of the coin is an alloy of copper (75%), nickel (4%) and zinc (21%), its weight is 6.90 grams and its diameter is 26.3 etc. The edge is serrated. A total of 1 million jubilee coins were produced, but only 15,000 of the extra-quality mints were available, which are part of the series of circulation coins with a special design. In addition, 12,000 pieces of the first day's minting of the coins were put into circulation in serially numbered decorative packaging. The public could buy Deák 20 forint coins at the Hungarian National Bank's cash desk in Budapest (Hold u. 7.) and two regional emission centers in the countryside (Debrecen, Székesfehérvár) by exchanging money or those interested could buy the first-day minted, decoratively wrapped coins at Magyar Pénzverő Rt.'s stores, for example on Könyves Kálmán körút or in the Magyar Nemzeti Bank building for HUF 600. The 2003 circulation coin series containing the Deák jubilee coins was available from May 2003 courtesy of Magyar Pénzverő Rt.
